Hardness
Hardness (or crushing strength) is the force needed to break a tablet. Friability

It's related to hardness but distinct: it's about resistance to the chipping and abrasion of real-world handling, not just the force to crush. Disintegration
Disintegration is the flip side: how quickly the tablet breaks apart in fluid, which it must do to release its actives for absorption. A tablet has to disintegrate within a target time — too slow, and the actives aren't released when they should be. Disintegration is what makes the tablet actually deliver its contents, so it's as important as the robustness specs, pulling in the opposite direction.
The trade-off
